THE CAUSE
The road from Krakow to Budapest is surrounded by Jewish history. Vanished Jewish life in this region only visible in our cemeteries. Unfortunately, many of them resemble jungle ruins in remote Central American jungles. Honor our ancestors by cleaning up these neglected and forgotten Jewish cemeteries.
THE PROJECT
Each team is required to do its own fundraising prior to the Tour De Maccabi. Funds collected by the Tour De Maccabi will be distributed through local Jewish cemetery clean up organizations in Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
THE AWARD
Teams will compete for the “Tikun Olam Special Award” given at the end of the race to the team that raises the most money for this noble cause.
